Great eating out options mean you can feast your eyes, and your taste buds on everything from haute cuisine to good old fashioned pub grub, and everything in between in our quality restaurants, cosy pubs, and cafes; some with a sprinkling of celebrity appeal. Quality food from the best local ingredients!
Our beautiful rolling countryside, clean rivers and mild climate mean that as well as quality meats and delicious dairy goods like local cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, and that all essential ingredient for a Devon Cream Tea, clotted cream - we also produce more exotic goods like award winning wine, oysters, chocolates and chilies! And of course with our stunning coastline we've also got a wealth of fresh fish and shellfish on offer.
We don't stop at food with local breweries, cider and fruit juice makers, and a vineyard south Devon is food and drink heaven! If you want to make sure it's top of the agenda October is the time to visit Dartmouth for its annual Food Festival
Our farmers were amongst the first to get to grips with home delivery and there are several meat and veg box schemes operating in south Devon. Don't let the fact that you're staying for a short while put you off using local produce in your self-catering accommodation, we can cater for you too with companies like the Local Food Company able to deliver your choice of goodies to your door.
Alternatively you can enjoy picking your own from the best of local produce at our regular farmers markets, well stocked farm shops, and tempting specialist shops.
