There are more carnivals and music festivals than you can shake a stick at in South Devon, and they always provide a great showcase for local talent young and old, traditional or new and funky.
The abundance of water makes regattas a great local event with races for everything that floats and plenty of accompanying celebrations too! And with such wonderful walking country we'd be mad not to have a walking festival so get you're boots on and go explore!
With such vibrant village communities village fetes are a really fun day out and give you a chance to see another side of village life.
We also enjoy a wealth of the arts with local and visiting theatre and music companies, and cinemas showing a great mix of art house and blockbuster films.
There's always a great selection of other events outdoors and under cover helping you get under the skin of South Devon. 
If you enjoy indulging your shopping gene we have a great mix of boutique shops and small chain stores, and our high streets definitely don't look like anywhere else!
