Cultural Trails in South Devon

 

Below are eight of South Devon's new Cultural Trails. They each offer spectalular experiences of South Devon and are suitable for everyone. Click on a Trail below for more detailed information, as well as a PDF leaflet for you to download and use.

 

Bantham & Thurlestone Walk

Take in the old haunts of Saxons and smugglers, lush coastline and glittering sea, then amble back through the green, green fields of South Devon.

A rewarding ride through blissful countryside following the creeks and contours along green lanes and quiet country roads.

A wonderful circular walk taking in spectacular coastal scenery and ancient green lanes, in one of the richest spots in Devon for plants and wildlife.

Stoke Fleming to Strete Walk

A beautiful countryside walk, showing off the shimmering sweep of the sea, plus a glimpse into the past. You'll encounter maritime history, pirates and smuggling tales, beaches, sea views and wonderful geology.

Torcross and Stokenham Walk

A delightful saunter which threads its way along paths and green lanes through perfect patchwork landscape, with the fields and meadows, woods and sea all laid out before you.

Wembury to Plymouth Walk

This satisfying and spectacular walk follows the cliffs and coves of a historic and fascinating stretch of coast. The route offers wonderful views of Plymouth Sound, and a lovely inland ramble home to complete the round.

Woodleigh to Topsham Bridge Horse Riding Route

The woods and meadows, dips and folds of this special part of Devon are a well kept secret. They make for a lovely ride along quiet country lanes and byways, between hedge banks bursting with wildflowers.
