Home / Culture and Heritage / Holy Trinity Church, Torbryan
The approach to Holy Trinity through narrow Devon lanes to an isolated wooded valley does not prepare visitors for a building of such size and grandeur. The fine Perpendicular tower rising in three stages, with an octagonal stair turret on the south wall, is a dramatic feature. Inside, a magnificent rood screen spans the width of the church. The delicacy of the wood carving is echoed by the elegant tracery of the windows, many of which contain mediaeval stained glass.
