Paignton Zoo is one of England's most beautiful and largest zoos boasting a collection of some 1,200 animals, representing over 300 species. A variety of special attractions within the zoo makes it a popular day out for all the family. The zoo is owned by a charitable trust dedicated to the conservation of the world's wildlife, with a variety of captive breeding programmes underway. Paignton Zoo is just 1 mile from Paignton Town Centre on the A3022 Totnes Road.
By Car: Follow the A3022 and brown tourist signs (look out for elephant). There is ample free parking and a drop-off and pick-up point outside the main entrance.
By Train: The nearest train stations are Torquay and Paignton, forward travel by bus.
By Bus: There is a bus stop by the main entrace and on Totnes Road. 10% discount on entry for bus passengers.
