Combeinteignhead

Another village where the church and the old inn are both worth a visit. Look out too for the Almshouses, in a building which was presented to the Parish by the Earl of Bath in 1620 and apart from housing the village poor, has been a tavern, a venue for harvest suppers and a school.

An attractive hamlet, a few miles south east of Newton Abbot. The village is a conservation area, with plenty of traditional cob and thatch. Fishing, pony trekking and walking are available locally. There is an interesting old church, a pub, shop and accommodation.
