An attractive hamlet, a few miles south east of Newton Abbot. The village is a conservation area, with plenty of traditional cob and thatch. Fishing, pony trekking and walking are available locally. There is an interesting old church, a pub, shop and accommodation.
Not far from Newton Abbot, the name of this small village belies its real character. It was named after the 12th Century Lord of the Manor, Hugo Coffin and the village is actually a very attractive and cheerful place with an old manor house behind a Tudor gateway, a 13th century church and a picture postcard thatched pub.
