Masked Black Tie Ball .... a real Mardi Gras!

Wood’s Estate Agents & Auctioneers are hosting their Third Annual Macmillan Cancer Support Black Tie Charity Ball at the prestigious Grand Hotel along the seafront Torquay in aid of Macmillan Cancer relief!

Masked guest will be greeted with a chilled drink on reception and the beautiful sound of Neil Reed on the piano. There will be the opportunity to have their photos take in their finest clothes, whilst perusing the silent auction prizes and mingling with other attendees.

Guest will then be invited to the dining room where they will sample three courses of the hotels finest food prepared by their top chef. During dinner guests will be left in ore by the talent of Chris Edwards as he performs so mystifying acts of magic acts at your table. There will also be the chance to purchase so draw prizes for the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Between courses there will be the opportunity to slip away and make some sneaky bids on the silent auction prizes.

Anne from Samm’s Decorations & Susan from Susans Flower shop (both of Hyde Road Paignton) will again be lavishing the vast room with their eye for detail, transforming the sea view room into a venue fit for celebrities to enjoy a red carpet event!

Following dinner there will be a chance to bid in the auction for some luxury prizes, which include a break in the French Alps! For those who do not feel up to the suspense of auction bidding there will be a final chance to purchase some draw prizes. The Cadence, who were extremely well received last year and we anticipate an even bigger response this year. A final chance to bid on the silent auction prizes will be called at 10pm, and successful bidders will be notified shortly after together will the lucky draw winners.

There will be lots of other exciting things going on during the evening, but guests will have to wait and see until the night of the ball!!

Tickets cost £40 each and can be bought individually or as tables of 10. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis, so you need to be book early to avoid disappointment – as we have always had a sell out night.

Anyone who is unable to attend, but would like to make a donation (either monetary, in the way of raffle/auction prize or sponsorship) which is necessary to make the event as successful and raise as much money as possible for the charity, donations can be made in our office (3 Bank Street, Newton Abbot, South Devon, TQ12 2JL) or by post (cheques should be made payable to Mrs C J Sharpe re Macmillan) cards are also accepted.
