The Cridford Inn is set in the idylic village of Trusham in the Teign Valley - the middle of nowhere, but close to everywhere. The inn dates back to 825AD and is one of the oldest pubs in the country.
The former Devon longhouse is believed to one of Devon’s oldest dwellings having been remodeled in 1081 after previously featuring as a nursery and a farm. Boasting a thatched roof, small windows, part panelled and part exposed stone walls and slate floors throughout, The Cridford Inn is a quintessential country pub.
The Cridford Inn is the perfect place to start or end your walk in the countryside - then you can spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful beer garden, looking out across Dartmoor and South Devon, whilst tasting the delights of local ales, gins and wines from the region.
Food and drink is a speciality of the Inn, priding themselves on using local Devonshire produce for the very best quality. Whether its lunch, dinner or a sunday roast, you will be sure for a culinary treat.
