California Cross Camping and Caravanning Club Site

A hidden gem in rolling Devonshire countryside and next to an award-winning family pub.

To the north of this lovely Club Site is the Dartmoor National Park - an area of over 250 sq. miles of open moorland with a sprinkling of small villages, farms and river valley. To the south, the beauty of the South Devon Heritage Coast with its sandy beaches and is a perfect holiday destination. Bigbury-on-Sea is one of the area’s most spectacular beaches, where you can enjoy dramatic coastal walks or take the sea tractor to historic Burgh Island. There are plenty of attractive towns and villages to explore in the region too, including Modbury – the closest town to site, with a selection of shops and places to eat; Salcombe, Ivybridge, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth with its unique riverside location, ancient narrow streets house boutique shops, art galleries and delicatessens is the jewel of the South Hams. If you like to taste the best of the region then visit the farmers’ markets at Dartmouth, Ivybridge, Totnes and Kingsbridge every month.
