    <name>Lopwell Dam Cycle Link Route - 4.5 miles</name>
<desc>Lopwell Dam Link Cycle Route - 4.5 miles

This linear route links the Ply Valley Cycle Route with the Tamar Valley and the Bere Peninisula. It take in a range of scenery including the upper reaches of the Plym Valley, the moors and views at Roborough, descends into the Tamar Valley and crossing the River Tavy.

The river crossing at Lopwell Dam is tidal and you must find out the tide times before setting out on the route. These can be obtained from the tide timetable for Plymouth, to which you need to add 9 minutes. It is recommended that you do not try to cross the river for at least 2 hours either side of high tide. When the tide is particularly high or when there has been heavy rainfall, this period is likely to be longer.</desc>
