Nestled in woodland and recently lovingly restored, Amberley Cottage offers comfortable self catering accommodation in a traditional 18th century thatched former farmhouse, the ideal destination for relaxing, refreshing and recharging.

Amberley Cottage enjoys a secluded location only a stone's throw away from the small historic town of Chudleigh, within easy reach of the city of Exeter, the market town of Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey the gateway to Dartmoor and the Devon coast.

Amberley Cottage has a large a lounge/ dining room full of character with original oak beams, inglenook fireplace, wood burning stove and separate full kitchen with its old bread oven. The sleeping accommodation, for up to 6, comprises Bedroom 1 with super king bed, which can be split into twins on request and Bedroom 2 with a standard double bed and adult size bunks. There are 2 bathrooms, both with bath and high output shower. Combined with character is the all important comfort so for example we offer quality pocket sprung mattresses, feather pillows and 100% cotton bed linen. It has its own terrace, garden and play area.

Whether your stay is for a long weekend or as a base for a week’s holiday Amberley Cottage is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the delights of Devon and the South West. Whether your interests are walking, cycling, taking in the atmosphere of pretty Devon villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, literature, music and food festivals or enjoying the coast Amberley makes the perfect base. Take a look at our suggestions on the Things to See and Do page. And for eating out the options are endless – see our Eating and Drinking page of our website.

We regret that we are not able to accept pets and do not allow smoking in the cottage – a designated outdoor smoking area is provided.
