The Coach House is part of a working arable and sheep farm, some 7 miles from the centre of Exeter and surrounded by The National Trust Killerton Estate.

The former stables of our Victorian coach house provide 5 star ground floor accommodation with easy access from a private entrance, making this a peaceful spot whether you’re looking for a base for an active break or a quiet rural retreat.

As well as 5 Star rating by both the AA and Visit Britain, we also hold National Accessible Scheme M2 status.

Killerton House and its much-loved gardens are a stone’s throw from The Coach House Farm and further afield the spectacular East Devon coastline, the wooded valleys of Exmoor and rugged granite terrain of Dartmoor are all within an hours’ drive. If it is not beach or moor weather then the historic cathedral and university city of Exeter offers many visitor attractions, high quality shopping and entertainment for all ages and is just 15 minutes by car or bus (from the village).
The village of Broadclyst with its village stores, restaurant and pub are just ¾mile away and in fine weather, the public footpath provides a pleasant route.

Open all year round, we are easily reached from the M5 /A30.

The accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen, family bathroom, sitting room with dining table, and two bedrooms (one twin and one double) sleeping four people. We can also provide a cot.

Outside, upper and lower patios lead to a private garden with plums, gages and apples growing. The apple and pear orchard below provides a great space in which to relax or let off steam.

Please visit our website to explore the cottage and grounds in more detail and to book online.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.
