South Devon Crab Festival

The South Devon Crab Festival is back, bigger and better than ever before!

This year's South Devon Crab Festival runs from Monday 30th July to Sunday 5th August. Take part in this fantastic week of events dedicated to the celebration of South Devon Crab, one of the regions finest natural resources. Enjoy the delights of this wonderful seafood at one of the Street Parties, learn about their habitats and the importance of sustainability in fishing for them or take part in one of our crabby trails around the region. You can discover crab in so many ways!

Monty Halls Talks Crab, The Royal Castle, Dartmouth. 6.00 – 7.30pm
TV Presenter and Explorer Monty Halls talks about the sustainability of Crab and the importance of it to our Community.

Crab and Wine Tasting Event, New Walk Brasserie, Totnes
A special evening where you can enjoy the delicacy of crab alongside wine tasting with Sharpham Wines.  Call 01626 862200 to book your place.

Seafood BBQ and Crabbing Competition at the Cary Arms, Babbacombe
The beautiful Cary Arms in Babbacombe will be running a crabbing competition all week and holding a Seafood BBQ

The Great South Devon Crab Fete, Dawlish Warren Seafront 11am to 3pm
A day of FREE family fun crabby activities in the beautiful resort of Dawlish Warren.

Teignmouth Crab Picnic Party 5pm to 9pm
Join this fantastic summer picnic taking place on The Den in Teignmouth, with South Devon Crab on the menu, as well as music and entertainment for all.

The Shaldon Water Carnival
A day of entertainment and fun, including sand sculpture, painting, and crab collecting competitions.

Crab Day at The National Aquarium, Plymouth From 1pm onwards
Visit this national aquarium and enjoy a specially created talk on the lifecycle and habitat of crabs.

Dartmouth Crab Street Party
Taking place alongside the River Dart, on the Quay in Dartmouth, this fantastic Crab Street Party also sees South Devon Crab on the menu, as well as music and entertainment for all. An excellent day out for the whole family. Tickets available to book online.
