Blue Flag Beaches

South Devon beaches are impossible to beat - especially when it comes to cleanliness! We have blue flag awards for 6 of our beaches so you can be sure to enjoy excellent water quality throughout the year.

Blue Flag is an international award scheme which checks coastal destinations for the quality of their water, facilities, safety, environmental education and environment.

Because the award is annual, you can be sure that any beach carrying the award, is maintaining its world-class quality. In England the scheme is administered by ENCAMS (Environmental Campaigns, an environmental charity which also runs Keep Britain Tidy).
