Winter is the time to enjoy bracing coastal walks and watch the huge wave's crash against the beaches. Now is a good time to look for gulls, sparrow hawks or peregrines.
In the spring and you will see new life starts to stir amongst the hedge rows, especially with the arrival of the swallows! Watch the landscape emerge from its winter slumber and burst into colour before your eyes, and watch out for new born lambs in the fields!
Summer is a great time to explore, the hedgerows are verdant, the birds and mammals are busy feeding their young and there are plenty of butterflies on the wing on sunny days.
Autumn is characterised by a changing of colour in the landscape - trees turn from green to russet and are laden with berries and seeds. Why not go on a fungal foray? This is the best time to look for mushrooms and toadstools!
