Dartmoor is wonderful for a relaxing hack, but there's plenty of other beautiful areas with equestrian facilities.
If you relish competitive riding there are two premier Racecourses - at Exeter and Newton Abbot, both of which have full programmes every year.
Haldon Forest is a top favourite for riders, with a large area set aside for equestrian activities including parking for horse boxes.
