Dawlish Warren has been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag Award and Seaside Award Clean Beach status for water quality, cleanliness, management, safety and information - placing it among the top beaches for safety and cleanliness in the country.
You can be assured of an experienced team of lifeguards on hand to watch over the kids, and a whole range of facilities, including: large grassed play area, amusements, weekly open-air market, golf courses, cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops.
Dawlish Warren is an ideal centre for a car-free leisure break, with its own railway station, regular bus services and cycle hire. The nearby holiday parks offer a wide choice of caravan, camping and chalet accommodation.
It's also an excellent location for exploring countryside, sea, estuary and nature all in one. Situated on the South West Coastal Path and along the southern bank of the Exe Estuary, the area is a conservation area. Well known as an important site for an assortment of vegetation, animals and birds, the nature reserve is known internationally as a centre for migrating birds, and a dedicated Visitor Centre is there to help you understand and enjoy what's going on. The name, Dawlish Warren, originates from the rabbit rearing carried on there in centuries past.
Stretches of golden sands in a unique setting; Dawlish Warren has everything you'll need for a fun, action-packed family holiday or idyllic day out.
