Totnes Castle is one of the best surviving examples of a Norman motte and bailey castle. The once great ditch that surrounded the keep is today filled with the cottages and gardens of the town. The castle has commanding views of Totnes, the River Dart and the surrounding area.

Nearest station is Totnes station. Cross Station Road into Castle Street opposite. The castle is 0.25 mile up the hill on the right.
