Haldon Forest Park

Come and burn off some calories in the biggest gym in Devon. Just imagine 3,500 acres of clean, green woods with 25 miles of trails where you can safely walk, run, cycle and ride at whatever pace suits you.
Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, Haldon Forest Park offers over 20 miles of safe, traffic-free trails for walkers, cyclists, runners and horse riders. Discover the new Play Trail where adventure play features have been created around a 2 mile all-ability trail. Stimulate your senses on the Mamhead Sensory Trail and learn about the local heritage of this amazing site. Bring your bike and enjoy hours of fun cycling around the family-friendly cycle trails or get your adrenaline rush in the advanced Freer Ride mountain bike zone.

Horse riders can enjoy over 10 miles of off-road tracks including a dedicated equestrian area with its own half-mile gallop stretch. Go further into the forest on our Butterfly Walk and see how many different species of butterfly, moth, dragonfly and damselfly you can spot. And at the end of your day rest at the picnic areas and enjoy the stunning views of Haldon and Devon.

New for 2008 is the Go Ape! highwire forest adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides. For more details and to book visit www.goape.co.uk.
