South Devon is shaped by a landscape of contrasts, from high wild moorland to wooded river valleys, secret creeks and tidal estuaries. Traditional farms nestle amongst the rolling hills and winding lanes lead to pretty market towns, historic villages and hidden hamlets. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the country can be found here, from tiny sheltered coves to great sweeps of golden sands. The mild climate has resulted in a wide range of fantastic local produce and means that South Devon is somewhere to visit at any time of year.
