The Devonshire Collection of Period Costume is displayed in one of the historic merchant's houses of Totnes, Bogan House, which was restored by the Mitchell Trust in1986.
There is a new exhibition of costumes and accessories each season.
This year's exhibition is entitled " Two Hundred Years of the Flower Motif in Fashion".
The display shows different techniques including embroidery, woven and printed textiles,
lace and beading, drawn from our extensive collection..
Nearest major road is A38. Follow Totnes signs via A384 & A385.
Museum is located in town centre opposite the market square, 'Birdwood Court'.
Mainline trains: Plymouth - Exeter.
Buses: Plymouth - Torquay and Exeter - Kingsbridge.
