The Two Moors Festival was founded sixteen years by classical music enthusiasts John and Penny Adie as an antidote to the economic, environmental and social devastation caused when Foot and Mouth disease hit the South West, particularly Exmoor and Dartmoor. From a small series of concerts designed to bring cheer and help regenerate business across the moors, The Two Moors Festival has grown beyond all recognition into a major national, and increasingly international event.
As one of the largest classical music festivals in the South West, the Two Moors Festival stages approximately 30 concerts in October each year in some of the most exquisite and remote locations in England. With the support of many generous benefactors, we are able to present artistic programmes that rival those found in many major city-based festivals. The uncompromisingly high standards of the festival attract some of the most exciting performers in the world, putting the 2MF firmly in the A star league. Concertgoers travel far and wide from Europe, the USA and Canada to attend the festival's ten day music marathon and to enjoy sensational classical music performances in one of Britain's most beautiful areas.
Events take place in various locations across Dartmoor, Exmoor, and Exeter Cathedral.
Tickets range from £6 - £35 depending on the venue and type of event.
Priority booking for Friends, Associates and Benefactors opens 3 July 2017. Tickets go on sale to the general public 1 August. 2017.
