Unlock the door to Wonderland at Dartington Hall

Begin this visual journey through Lewis Carroll's whimsical world through the keyhole at Dartington Hall. Soft swirling lights and floating keys introduce you to this enchanting light trail. As you venture through this unusual world you'll be met by the peculiar sites of Wonderland. Enter a magical forest of butterflies and mushrooms and hear the caterpillar's wisdom, pass peculiar bubbling bottles labelled 'drink me', try to spot the mischievous Cheshire Cat's glowing grin and stop by the Mad Hatter's whimsical tea party. Don't linger too long in the jabberwocky's eerie lair!

An adventure like no other

After you've ventured through this peculiar world at Dartington Hall why not stop and indulge yourself in a hot chocolate and a homemade cake for some refreshments? And be sure to snap some photos and share them across social media!

The trail is 1 mile long and outdoors on pathways through Dartington's Grade 2 Listed Gardens. It will take around 45 minutes to enjoy the trail, plus any time you may spend enjoying our themed traders.

This is a family friendly event open to all ages. Our trail is wheelchair, pram and mobility scooter accessible.

The experience is outside so we suggest coming suitably dressed for all weather conditions with suitable footwear.

We have our own wonderful vendors onsite selling hot food and hot drinks and cakes. Dartington estates own wonderful eateries will be open at various times including White Hart pub, The Green Table and the Roundhouse. More info here: https://www.dartington.org/visit/visitor-information/
