Guest Blog Post - Cullompton Food & Drink FestivalThere will be much to see, taste, buy and listen to at this year’s Autumn Food and Drink Festival taking place in Cullompton on Saturday October 13th 2018 between 9.30am and 4pm. It is a “free” festival happening throughout the town’s historic town centre, with many special venues and events all aimed at encouraging people into Cullompton town centre and brightening up their day.The Cullompton Community Centre, close to St Andrews Church, and the Walronds in Fore Street will both be hosting food demonstrations, more information and a full programme of demonstrations will be available from the Town Council closer to the date. The Walronds will also have street food and a variety of other food stalls along with swing boats, face painting and balloon modelling for the children.

The Farmers’ Market will be in High Street with its regular stalls plus a few extras including Mrs Gill’s cakes and a crepe making stall. The Baptist Church will have its usual Traidcraft Stall plus the Shape Note singers and there will be a craft market in the Town Hall. Other activities are being planned to keep all ages entertained. We should also mention the huge number of restaurants, pubs and cafes sprouting up in the town which together with the street food stalls will mean that you will have no trouble finding something that suits your pallet. The live music and street food will keep you happily lingering a while, whatever the weather and there will be various activities to enjoy in the evening too, including the popular Soul Traders at the Community Centre. You should also leave plenty of time to explore some of the interesting little shops including arts, crafts and curiosities, something for everyone!

With easy access from Junction 28 and plenty of parking in the town’s three car parks: St Andrews, Forge Way and the Hayridge car park together with regular bus services from Tiverton and Exeter, getting here shouldn’t be a problem.
