Marking the third summer concert at Newton Abbot Racecourse, Sounds of the Summer promises an unforgettable evening of live music and great fun in the beautiful South Devon countryside. Enjoy a jam-packed evening filled with hit-after-hit of live music.

When is Sounds of the Summer?

Sounds of the Summer will take place on Sunday 16 July at Newton Abbot Racecourse, with gates opening at 4pm

Who will be performing?

Headlining Sounds of the Summer will be UK reggae royalty UB40. The band, who will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2018, will be performing some of their greatest hits plus some brand-new songs live at Newton Abbot Racecourse. Red Red Wine, (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love and Kingston Town are just a few of the band’s hits to feature in their set at Newton Abbot Racecourse.

Joining UB40 as very special guests are All Saints who shot to fame in the 1990s and notched up an impressive 12 million record sales, five number one singles, two multi-platinum albums and two Brit awards with hits like Never Ever, Pure Shores and Rocksteady.

Also performing live at the racecourse will be Fine Young Cannibals (FYC) whose hits include She Drives Me Crazy and Good Thing. FYC were one of the biggest bands of the 1980s and scored a number one album both at home and in America with their 1988 release The Raw And The Cooked.

Kick-starting the afternoon will be will be 80’s pop/rock duo, China Crisis, whose chart success throughout the 1980s included five Top 40 singles and three Top 40 albums including Wishful Thinking and Red Sails.

Adult Admission: £30.25 inclusive of booking fee
Under 16s Admission: £12.75 inclusive of booking fee**

Gold Circle: Offering some of the best views of the Sounds of the Summer Festival from the Gold Circle area in front of the stage. Just 200 Gold Circle tickets are now on sale, available only from the racecourse, priced at £52.75 inclusive of booking fee.

Disabled and Wheelchair Viewing Ramp: Available only from the racecourse, disabled patrons pay for a ticket, carer’s tickets priced at £12.75 inclusive of booking fee.

Please note all tickets are inclusive of a £2.75 booking fee. ** Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and may be asked for proof of age.

How do I get there?

Newton Abbot Racecourse is easily accessible by both car and public transport. There will be no parking available at the racecourse on the day, except for disabled patrons.
