Guest Blog Post - Plymouth Fishing & Seafood Association
Looking for unforgettable things to do in Plymouth this autumn? Set your sights on the Plymouth Seafood Tour, a flavour-filled celebration of the city’s proud fishing heritage and world-class coastal cuisine. Running from 3rd to 18th October 2025, this two-week event promises to tempt your tastebuds and feed your curiosity.
Whether you're a seasoned foodie or a curious traveller, this is your chance to experience one of the UK’s most exciting seafood events — right in the heart of historic Plymouth.
A Coastal Culinary Experience Like No Other
Hosted by the Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association (PFSA), the Plymouth Seafood Tour is part of the vibrant “Choose Local, Go Wild” campaign, designed to champion local seafood and sustainable fishing.
Expect a variety of special menus, pop-up tastings, and seafood-themed events at restaurants, pubs, and markets across the city. Every dish features wild-caught fish and shellfish sourced directly from Plymouth’s own fishing fleet — it doesn’t get much fresher than that.
Meet the Makers: Stories from the Sea
One of the most unique elements of the tour is the chance to meet the local fishing community. Hear firsthand stories from fishermen and women, learn about the challenges and triumphs of life at sea, and discover what goes into landing some of the finest seafood in the UK.
These informal meet-and-greet sessions and storytelling events take place at selected venues and add a personal, human touch to this immersive food experience.
