We’re delighted to share some exciting news from Bovey Castle.

Recently, we were named Large Hotel of the Year at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence - a national recognition that means a great deal to our team and everything we’ve been working towards here on Dartmoor. 

For us, it’s not just about the award itself, but what it represents. The VisitEngland Awards celebrate the very best of tourism across the country, recognising quality, innovation and exceptional guest experiences. To be recognised at this level is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Set within 275 acres of Dartmoor National Park, Bovey Castle has always been about offering something a little different. Whether guests come here to slow down and unwind, enjoy time in the spa, explore the moor, or try something new outdoors, our aim is to create a stay that feels both special and personal.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to invest in that experience - from enhancing our golf facilities to expanding the activities available across the estate. It’s all part of making sure there’s something for everyone, whether it’s a peaceful escape or a more active break in the countryside.

What matters most to us, though, is our team. This award reflects the care, attention and pride they bring every day, and the warm welcome our guests receive from the moment they arrive.

As we look ahead, we’re excited about what’s to come and the ways we can continue to share this beautiful part of Devon with even more visitors.
