Meldon Reservoir walks - Accessible from Stage 1 Westbound or Stage 4 Eastbound Meldon Reservoir offers a scenic detour closeby to the West Devon Way route. The stunning reservoir was created by damming the West Okement Rier, and was opened in 1972. A range of walks can be accessed that lead part way around the reservoir, into the surrounding hills, or north towards Meldon Viaduct.

Follow the road signed to Meldon Reservoir just before/after passing under the old railway bridge in Meldon. There is a car park and public toilets at the end of the road.
