Nr Salcombe
Opposite the town of Salcombe on the eastern side of the estuary is a long sandy stretch skirting round the coast from East Portlemouth almost to the open sea. East Portlemouth beach is in a National Landscape.
Teignmouth
Located on the estuary side of town, this charming beach takes you back to days gone by. Local fishermen mend nets, sand eels are caught, boats bob up and down with the tide and children splashing and playing.
Nr Kingsbridge
Bigbury on Sea is a popular family beach and great for windsurfing and kite surfing. A stunning sandy beach in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) joined by causeway to Burgh Island. Shallow water for paddling and rock pools for exploring.
Shaldon
Ness Cove at Shaldon nestles in between magnificent red cliffs and is accessed via an original smuggler's tunnel. At the tunnel's end, you'll discover the perfect get away - life is truly a beach!
