Located on the estuary side of town, this charming beach takes you back to days gone by.
Local fishermen mend nets, sand eels are caught, boats bob up and down with the tide and children splash and play.
Watch the sun set magnificently over the River Teign and just watch the world go by. The views of the Upper Teign estuary looking towards Dartmoor are spectacular particularly just as the sun is setting or rising. Doesn't matter what time of year, the view remains breath taking.
Take the passenger ferry across to Shaldon Beach - a hidden gem in Teignmouth.
Dogs are welcome all year round.
