Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Powderham, 1st - 2nd May

Toby Buckland’s annual garden festival at Powderham Castle attracts celebrity gardening experts and provides an annual rendezvous for enthusiastic gardeners and award-winning regional nurseries.

Dartmouth Spring Flower Festival, 2nd May

Held at The Royal Avenue Gardens you’ll find refreshments, tombola, young plants for sale to fill your hanging baskets and containers, floral art, scents and soaps and lots more!

Hawkeye Falconry and Hawk and Owl Sanctuary at Pennywell Farm, 2nd - 3rd May

Hawkeye Falconry UK will be at Pennywell on Saturday 2nd May providing dynamic, fully interactive and educational bird of prey displays.
The Hawk and Owl Sanctuary will be at Pennywell on Sunday 3rd May with static displays and talks allowing you to get really close up and hands on with the collection of rescued birds.  

Brixham Pirate Festival, 2nd - 4th May

The festival takes place throughout the town with the main stage right next to the Golden Hind boat in the inner harbour. There will be shows, re-enactments and events around the town throughout the weekend. Dress up if you can, whatever you can manage will be fine even if it is just an eye-patch! There will be LOTS of pirates in costume right through the weekend so you will fit right in.

Denbury May Fayre, 4th May

After the official opening and crowning of the May Queen and King at Midday there will be lots of entertainment including Elfic - Juggler & Jester, Miss Torbay, Maypole Dancing, Dart Valley Stompers Jazz Band, Dog Show, Steam Engines & classic Car Display, Cream Teas, BBQ, Hog Roast, Cakes, Activities, Plants, Torbay Owls, Black Border Morris Dancers and a Grand Draw.
