The ‘Festival of the Year’ 2018 multi award winner, Glas-Denbury Music and Arts Festival, is back with a bang and boy are we EXCITED! Whether you’re an annual festival goer, a ‘pre-children’ live-music-lover, or merely just dipping your toes in the scene, Glas-Denbury is the perfect place for you.

This year, we are thrilled to be welcoming the legendary Motown Queen MARTHA REEVES and the VANDELLAS headlining on Friday 6th July and the Legends of Disco THE REAL THING headlining on Saturday 7th July, alongside for the first time, an almost 100% South West based line up of artists including; Backbeat Soundsystem, Echo Town, Grace Savage, Malavita, K-Lanta, Samantics, Tors, Pattern Pusher, Double Denim, Matthew Gordon Price, Jamie Yost (just to name a few) and to top it all off, the legendary Basil Brush will be on site on Saturday 7th July for shows and selfies galore!

Both BBC Introducing in Devon and Cornwall and BBC Radio Devon will be on site this year showcasing some of Devon’s most talented up and coming artists on our BBC Introducing stage, as well as Matt Woodley broadcasting BBC Radio Devon’s Kitchen Disco live from our Disco Dome on the Friday night- so make sure you bring your disco shoes and be prepared to boogie all night long!Also on site will be a Silent Disco, the Pucker Poets with poetry headliners Dominic Berry and Gecko and a multitude of magical entertainers for all ages such as; the Beltane Black Border Dancers, Ventriloquist Steve Hewlett, Jungle Jim, Torbay Owls, Pirate Shenanigans with Captain Blackheart O’Brixham, as well as walkabout acts Oakwood Folk, Higher Beings, Curious Oddities’ Mythical Creatures and Dreckly the Dragon etc (see full list on our website). Furthermore, we have a whole host of workshops and activities including Laughter Yoga, Dad Dancing Fitness, The Knitting Tent, Ocean Discovery Area, Learn to Dance Ceroc, Cotton Mill Ceilidh Dance Class, archery, fencing, crafts and theatre that will keep everyone in the family entertained from Grandma, right down to little Billy boy (especially now that kids under 12 are free)! Lastly, the Free Harmony Healing Area will give you somewhere to rest, chill, and most importantly, indulge, after a long hard day of festivaling.Glas-Denbury is all about the people and all about the South West. We feature 7 stages of arts across a beautiful site in the midst of the rolling Devon hills. The festival itself is a collaboration of like minded people and organisations who come together to create a colourful, happy, safe event suitable for all ages. The whole event is self-funded and uses 100% South West suppliers, our bars stock a fine selection of local real ales, ciders and lagers and the handpicked food stalls serve up a delicious array of amazing, local, quality foods including specialist foods- we truly champion our surroundings and the people of the South West in bucketfuls.Camping is available on site with gates open from 2pm Friday 6th July through to 4pm Sunday 8th July. The arena opens Friday at 5pm and all day Saturday. Glamping is also available, either in beautiful Lotus Bell Tents by Wild Hare Events or the stunning handmade Yurts by Yurts for Life; both South West based companies. This year we’re offering free shuttle buses to and from Newton Abbot and surrounding villages, to help ease your entire festival experience. We also have free parking on site should you wish to drive or lift-share.
