Recently awarded a GOLD for Festival of the year 2018 in the Devon Tourism Excellence Awards and a BRONZE for Festival of the Year 2018/9 in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, Glas-Denbury is a festival that is authentic, friendly, safe, accessible and sustainable, with a nod to the festivals of yesteryear. Glas-Denbury’s ethos is providing a “Platform for Passion” and championing the South West using 100% SW suppliers, food and drink and providing a platform for SW music, arts and entertainment. Located on a beautiful site, in the rolling Devon hills, it is a collaboration of likeminded people and organisations who come together to create a colourful, happy event suitable for all ages.

Glas-Denbury is a festival like no other and it’s back with a bang this year with a line-up of music from all genres, magical entertainment, workshops to learn and create in, whether you’re an annual festival goer, family with children, live-music-lover, or merely just dipping your toes in the festival scene, Glas-Denbury is the perfect place for you and has something for everyone.

With multiple stages of music including the BBC Introducing stage, Glas-Denbury stays loyal to their ethos of showcasing all genres of music and championing the South West, as well as bringing in artists from further afield.

Glas-Denbury is for everyone. The team is committed and passionate about endeavouring to fulfil any of their guests’ requirements and help wherever they can to make their time at the festival as easy and joyous as possible. Glas-Denbury is already one of the most accessible festivals in the South West, with a dedicated accessibility team, accessible camping, accessible bar, plenty of toilets as well as Mobiloo on site with toilet, hoist and adult changing bed. Personal assistance tickets are also available on application. For families with babies and young children, this year the brand new Baby Bloom Cocoon area will offer parents a place to meet, chill, feed and learn with workshops and teams on hand to talk all things parenting!

Glas-Denbury is also leading the way in the South West for sustainability. Offering shuttle buses from Newton Abbot station to the festival site reducing the need for cars, all single use plastics banned across the site including the sale of plastic water bottles, use of plastic cutlery and plates and the introduction back in 2016 of reuseable cups across the site. Rigorous recycling takes place aross the site and all festival goers are encouraged to bring along refillable water bottles this year and take part in litter picking throughout the event. Recycling, reducing waste and ensuring a minimal footprint is left on the land is paramount to the festival.

Camping and Glamping available as well as day tickets, family tickets, group discounts, payment options on the website www.glas-denbury.co.uk

Reviews;

“This was our first family festival, and we had such a brilliant time. There was so much to do for adults and kids (ours are aged 2 & 5), great choice of food, and good camping – loads of space in the family field. In fact, I was v impressed by how uncrowded the whole festival & camping was – ie, there were clearly lots of people, and the atmosphere was great, but there was no cramming in, meaning that kids could leave your side a little and not get out of sight. Staff great too, and the whole thing was exactly as promised – felt very safe & welcoming. Will def be back in 2018!” Stef

“Fantastic little festival. plenty to do for the whole family. a good range of food including vegetarian and vegan options. all of the food vendors were well versed in allergies and we’re very helpful with all our enquiries. Very helpful and polite staff. The toilets were clean which is unheard of at festivals. There were plenty of different acts to cater for pretty much everyone, but the best thing was that everyone was respectful and cleaned up after themselves. Lots of people enjoying themselves and not over indulging. can’t wait to come back next year” Justin

“Anyone who has fond memories of Glasto but can’t face the idea of the crowds and the mud with small people, Glas-Denbury might just be the festival for you. Celebrating the South West’s talented musicians, artists, writers and entertainers, it’s a family friendly music festival on green fields. Nominated for several awards, the festival organisers are committed to making it “comfortable, safe, happy and inspirational” – it’s definitely on our list this year”! Stephanie Darkes – Devon Life

“What a fantastic, well organised event. My favourite thing this year by far. Plenty for both adults and kids. The many acts were just fabulous. Great atmosphere, great food and well priced as were the drinks. Will definitely be back next year” Mel Whisky
