Christmas Craft Sessions with Linnet Workshops

Festive crafty workshops are the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. Linnet Workshops, run by local artist Grace Coombes is offering a wide range of block printing sessions during November and December for both adults and children. 

Learn how to block print your own Christmas cards, garlands and gift wrap during one of Grace’s carefully paced workshops with every session providing space for participants to fully embrace Christmas crafts in a joyous and creative way. Why not treat your friends or family to a ticket as an early Christmas gift or take some time out just for you. 

Each of the Devon based venues offer something a little different and have been selected to provide you with a truly unique experience. Here’s whats coming up. 

Adult Sessions 

Block Printed Gift Wrap - 18th November 

The Stables at Mothecombe Gardens, Holberton, Devon, PL8 1LB
Design, carve and print your own lino blocks to create a decorative sheet of wrapping paper. Perfect for - A walk round the gardens, a spot of lunch at the School House and a stroll along Mothecombe Beach after the workshop. 

Block Printed Christmas Cards - 23rd November 

Heron Valley Orchards Loddiswell, Kingsbridge, Devon, TQ7 4EA
Create your own lino blocks and print a decorative set of Christmas cards to send out to loved ones. 
Perfect for - A delicious lunch in the cafe and a bit of Christmas shopping in the beautiful Weaver Green show room. 

Block Printed Christmas Garland - 3rd December

Shilstone House, Modbury, Ivybridge, Devon, PL12 0TW 
Take in the beauty of the Shilstone Estate and create a block printed garland with lino blocks designed, hand carved and printed by you.
Perfect for - Enjoying tea and cake in the cafe or Sunday lunch in the restaurant. Why not take a walk round the gardens to finish off your visit. 

Festive Taster Session - 6th December 

Winstone’s, Kitley farm, Yealmpton, Plymouth PL8 2LT
Enjoy the cosy setting of Sarah Winstone’s eco - friendly homewares and gift shop in Yealmpton, South Devon. 
Try your hand at block printing cards, gift tags or wrapping paper using Grace's pre carved festive lino blocks. 
Perfect for - A bit of retail therapy and picking up a few eco Christmas gifts. 

Children's Sessions

Block Printed Gift Wrap - 25th November (Ages 5 -16 years)

Children can print their own sheet of decorative gift wrap using a wide range of festive lino blocks hand carved by Grace. 
Morning and afternoon sessions available. 
Perfect for - A wintery walk along Mothecombe beach and warm up at the School House with a hot chocolate. 

Block Printed Gift Wrap  (Ages 5 -16 years)

Buckland Abbey - National Trust - 10th December, Yelverton, Devon, PL20 6EY
Admission applies if you don't have National Trust Membership
Children will love printing their own sheet of decorative gift wrap in this creative workshop at Buckland Abbey NT. Morning and afternoon sessions available. 
Perfect for - Enjoying the Abbey, gardens and stopping off at the cafe for lunch. Don’t forget the 2nd hand book shop!
