South Devon is home to a growing calendar of Pride events, and 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for locals and visitors alike. From coastal celebrations to community parades in town centres, each Pride has its own character. Whether you’re looking to enjoy live music, support local LGBTQ+ groups, or simply spend a day soaking up the festival energy, there’s plenty happening across the region this summer.
Exeter Pride – Saturday, 10th May 2025
One of the earliest events on the South West’s Pride calendar, Exeter Pride returns on 10th May, beginning with a colourful parade through the city centre. Expect rainbow flags, music, and dancing in the streets as local organisations and supporters take part. The main festival site in Northernhay Gardens will host a lively mix of live music, community stalls, food vendors, and entertainment, alongside quitter spaces and family-friendly activities. Additional events are also planned at Exeter Phoenix and the Central Library, making it a full day out with something for everyone.
Torbay Pride – Saturday, 14th June 2025
Torbay Pride is back on the English Riviera this June, with celebrations centred around the popular seafront area. The day begins with a lively parade in Princess Gardens, heading towards Torre Abbey Meadows, where the main event unfolds. Expect a full lineup of live music, drag acts, market stalls, and plenty of food and drink options. With views out over the bay and a big turnout expected, this is one of the region’s more high-energy Pride days – ideal for those looking to make a weekend of it in South Devon.
Exmouth Pride – Saturday, 21st June 2025
Held in the scenic Manor Gardens, Exmouth Pride is a laid-back and inclusive day of celebration. Now in its ninth year, the event has grown steadily while keeping its community spirit. Visitors can enjoy music from local bands and performers, browse awareness and information stands, and try food from a variety of independent traders. There’s also a focus on education and outreach, with local organisations and charities offering resources and conversations throughout the day. The setting, just minutes form the seafront, makes it easy to mix a bit of beach time with your Pride plans.
Dartmouth Pride – Saturday, 28th June 2025
Dartmouth Pride offers something a little different, combining its historic setting with a lively but low-key programme. It begins with a Pride Walk along the waterfront from Coronation Park to Dartmouth Castle – a scenic route that draws locals and visitors alike. Afterwards, the celebrations continue at Old Market, where live music, refreshments, and stalls provide a relaxed and social atmosphere. It’s a great chance to connect with the local community, especially in a smaller town that’s really embraced Pride in recent years.
Teignmouth Pride – Friday, 5th – Sunday, 7th September 2025
Teignmouth Pride weekend returns this September with a three-day programme of events that brings together live music, markets, and evening entertainment. Things kick off on Friday with performances on Hollands Road, and continue on Saturday with a Pride Market and stage acts in The Triangle. Sunday is usually a more informal day, often including community meet-ups and beachside gatherings. With its coastal location and easy rail links, Teignmouth Pride is a great choice if you’re looking to combine a day at Pride with a weekend by the sea.
South Devon’s Pride events aren’t just about celebration – they’re also a show of support, visibility, and solidarity. Each one is run by dedicated volunteers and supported by local organisations, bringing people together from across the region. Whether you’re travelling down for the weekend or live just around the corner, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty to enjoy.
