At Bays Brewery, we've always believed great beer can do great things.

That's why we're so pleased to be bringing back Tall Order, our much-loved charity ale brewed in partnership with Paignton Zoo. Returning this summer as part of our 2026 Charity Brew programme, Tall Order isn't just a refreshing golden ale - it's another way for us to support wildlife conservation right here in South Devon.

Inspired by one of the zoo's most recognisable residents, the giraffe, Tall Order is brewed using UK hops to create a bright, citrus-led golden ale with a satisfyingly hoppy finish. At 4.7% ABV, it's the perfect pint to enjoy on a sunny afternoon, whether you're visiting one of our local pubs, relaxing at home or stopping by Paignton Zoo.

Even better, every pint and bottle sold helps make a difference. We donate 5% of sales directly to conservation projects through our long-standing partnership with Paignton Zoo.

Our relationship with the zoo began back in 2013, and together we've now raised more than £30,000 to help protect endangered species. Over the years we've created a whole family of wildlife-inspired charity beers, including Funky Monkey, Orangutan Ale, Claw and, of course, Tall Order.

We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved together, and we're excited to continue supporting the zoo as it enters a new chapter following recent investment and its acquisition by Dutch leisure group Libéma.

Paignton Zoo has been welcoming visitors for more than 100 years and remains one of the South West's most popular attractions. Home to over 2,000 animals across 80 acres of beautiful grounds, it's a fantastic day out for families while also playing a vital role in global conservation and education.

Whether you're planning a visit to the zoo or simply exploring South Devon's fantastic food and drink scene, Tall Order is a brilliant way to support two local favourites at once.

You'll find Tall Order available throughout the summer in selected pubs across Devon, from the Bays Brewery online shop, and in the Paignton Zoo shop and restaurant.

Later this year, our Charity Brew programme continues with the return of Jingle Ale, our festive favourite supporting Children's Hospice South West.
