South Devon has plenty to see and do come rain or shine so there’s no reason to stay tucked up indoors when the sun goes into hiding!

Across the region you’ll find a wide range of inside attractions all offering an exciting, informative or fun filled days all under the cover of a roof. From galleries and museums filled with South Devon history and works of art, swimming pools and spas for a splashing good time or tranquil treatment, shopping centres and indoor climbing walls to pottery painting and venturing in to 2 millions year old caves under the South Devon landscape the excitement doesn’t have to stop if you find yourself waking up to a cloudy day or the forecast is a little unsettled.

As well as dedicated indoor attractions, you’ll also find that many of our other wonderful attractions offer a great mix of outdoor and indoor elements and facilities, meaning they can be enjoyed no matter what time of year you plan to visit. Many of South Devon’s animal based attractions are centred around both outside and indoor enclosures providing the opportunity to hide from both rain showers and the heat on an extra sunny day.

If you packed your umbrella and rain coat or aren’t worried about being caught in a rain shower then why not head to one of the counties many country houses and castles. As well the rooms that can be toured you’ll find fantastic grounds and gardens which are waiting to be explored during sunny spells.
