Set in the charming village of Trusham, the Cridford Inn is set on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and is unique in the fact that it is both in the middle of nowhere and near to local attractions and tourist spots giving you and your guests the chance to get together without distractions while still being close to major towns in South Devon like Newton Abbot and is only twenty minutes from the centre of Exeter. Being so conveniently located makes the inn an ideal venue for a whole range of events and occasions. Both Exeter and Newton Abbot are on the mainline rail network with connections across the country making it easy for your family, delegates and guests to join you.
The Cridford Inn is a charming 1,000 year old Devon longhouse that dates back to 825 AD that has kept its character and much of its original features without compromising on comfort and modernity. This delightful free-house is family run by Paul and Ness with Barney heading up the kitchen.
The Inn’s beautifully furnished dining room and restaurant are available for a whole range of events and occasions from family get togethers to private functions. The team at the Cridford Inn are passionate about creating amazing experiences, Ness and Paul along with the team in the kitchen work together to create a warm, friendly atmosphere with incredible food. The menus also include options for vegans, vegetarians and those following a gluten free diet, so no one need be left out of the celebrations or corporate event.
Our stunning dining room with it low oak beamed ceilings and many historical features can comfortably seat 40 on separate tables or 22 on one long banquet table. The dining room is spacious and many other table configurations are available, so speak to the team when making your booking to arrange your event to best suit your needs. We can cater your event however you need, choose from a range of dining options including hot or cold buffets, 2 or 3 course meals, whatever you need, just let the team know and we can ensure that your event is bespoke to you and everything you want it to be. Guests will also love our bar with its extensive range of drinks including over 70 flavours of gin, 25 whiskies, 15 rums, 15 vodkas, 3 real ales and an extensive wine list making it an ideal place to while the hours in this atmospheric inn with open fires burning.
The Cridford Inn is in the midst of beautiful countryside with rolling countryside views over Dartmoor and is an ideal location for a quiet, tranquil get together or work event. Being so close to the National Park and the rural landscape of South Devon, your guests will have the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy the wonderful natural beauty of the region

As a team we have carried out a full risk assessment with the new focus of keeping that virus out of our Inn restricting the chances of any infection passing to anyone while keeping all the charm and atmosphere that makes The Cridford Inn our customers favourite place to eat, drink and socialise.
We have new processes and systems in place to ensure that your table, cutlery, crockery, glasses, salt and pepper pots, in fact, everything is sanitised before you use it. From the sanitary conditions of the kitchen and the bar right through to bringing it to your table has been designed to prevent any contamination.
We take all our health and safety really seriously. We will make sure we play our part in keeping us all safe. When you visit please pay attention to the staff who will guide you and the signs that are there to help us all do our bit.
