A FREE and magical morning of craft and creativity with local children's author Amy Sparkes; a bookmark making activity followed by a talk and Q&A.
Amy is the author of the fantastically popular "House at the Edge of Magic" series, with the latest - and final installment - coming out in April! The series of 4 books aimed at 8 - 11 year-olds follows an plucky pickpocket called Nine, who finds herself flung into a world of fantasy and adventure.
In the first half of this event you'll have the chance to create your own magical bookmark. The best bookmark will win signed copies of all 4 books in the series, plus vouchers from local independent, eco-friendly bookseller Postscript Books for two runners-up. In the second half you'll have a chance to hear Amy talk about writing, world building and more, with an opportunity to ask some questions.
Bookmark making - 10.30 - 11.15
Author Talk and Q&A - 11.15 - 11.45
Winners Announced / Signing - 11.45
