Dawlish Celebrates Carnival

Dawlish Celebrates Carnival is almost here! It's on from Saturday 15th August to Friday 21st August with another week of wide-ranging activities and entertainment for all ages.
Highlights to start the week are a special evening of musically entertainment with Roger Parkes, Piano man in the marquee, and on Sunday the iconic raft race, teams have already been busy building what they hope is the winning raft.
Every day on the Lawn there are stalls and activities, football darts, circus skills, craft events and the very poplar clay modelling. Refreshments are provided in the marquee by local groups and whilst there look around to see what organisations there are showcasing what Dawlish has to offer.
Other key events are children's races, new to this year our local holiday parks are competing in a Mascot Race, and the unmissable Duck Race, and so much more.
Every evening, we have something different from quiz and bingo nights to a Comedy night and Horse Racing!
Music will feature throughout the week with a range of groups performing many local bands.
We close the week with our traditional Carnival Parade through the town, finishing back by the bandstand for an electrifying end of parade show.
