Dr Peter Lovatt (aka Dr Dance) explores why we love to boogie in this quirky evening of psychology, science and dancing. Peter is a former professional dancer and one of the world's leading Dance Psychologists; he spent decades studying the science of human behaviour and dancing. He's famous for his work on dance.
He's given five TEDx talks around the world, been featured in countless international magazine and newspaper articles and appeared on TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, The Graham Norton Show, Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side and ITV's Seven Year Itch.
Boogie on the Brain is the ultimate fusion of theory and practice. It's taking place in dance halls and great spaces across the UK where you will hear about the Psychology of Dance and try out a variety of dance moves. No experience in either dance or psychology is necessary.
Dr Dance will take you through key ideas in cognitive psychology and along the way teach you some fun, simple dance routines.
£16; £13 for under 16s and over 60s (includes £1.00 booking fee)
