Exeter Jazz Orchestra is one of Devon's premier Big Band's, seamlessly blending old school toe-tapping classics from the likes of Count Basie, Glenn Miller & Benny Goodman to the more modern belting beats of Gordon Goodwin, Thad Jones & Buddy Rich. They are a band not to be missed!!
Exeter Jazz Orchestra on how they were established...
'...we were established last year in July. We began rehearsals as 1 to a part due to Covid restrictions and then by the end of July we had our 1st full rehearsal. Which was great to bring so many musicians together, especially after the pandemic. Will, as the musical director, started the motions of bringing it all together. We have a great mix of players. From professional musicians, to young inspiring musicians and to musicians that play as a hobby. Really creates a fun environment for all!'
