Exeter Winter Wonderland returns to Northernhay Gardens for 2026!
Exeter Winter Wonderland returns this festive season, transforming Northernhay Gardens into a magical Christmas attraction from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027 (closed Christmas Day).
Now a much-loved highlight of Exeter's Christmas calendar, this enchanting event brings together ice skating, Santa's grotto, a sparkling light trail, traditional rides and delicious food, all right in the heart of the city.
Headline attractions include:
Santa's grotto – open on select dates from 28 November to 24 December. Children can meet Santa in his grotto, share their Christmas wishes and receive a special gift, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
Covered real ice rink – open from 11am to 9pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 10pm Friday to Sunday (closed Christmas Day). Whatever the weather, visitors can enjoy skating beneath the lights, with family tickets, student tickets and skate aids available.
Light trail – a sparkling highlight for all ages and free to wander.
Funfair – classic rides for little ones and fun attractions for the whole family.
Food and drink – from warming street food to sweet treats and indulgent bites.
With free entry for all, Exeter Winter Wonderland offers a complete festive experience for families, friends and visitors looking to celebrate Christmas in the city centre.
