Baskerville mystery hits Cockington Court this summer!
The award-winning outdoor theatre company 'Illyria' is set to visit us with an exciting production of The Hound of the Baskervilles this summer.
Who killed Sir Charles Baskerville? And how does a ghostly hound manage to leave vast paw-prints and other unwelcome evidence of its existence? The original and greatest literary detective of them all, Sherlock Holmes, and his assistant Doctor Watson, tackle the most baffling case of their careers in this cheeky but chilling adaptation. From the eerie moonlit landscapes of Dartmoor to cryptic clues, this gripping adaptation promises an irresistible blend of tension and wit. Performed in the great outdoors by Illyria, prepare for an unforgettable evening of mystery, intrigue and things that go 'grrrr' in the night!
The show takes place, whatever the weather, on Sunday 15th September.
For over thirty years, Illyria have had a simple mission: to create outstandingly enjoyable outdoor theatre and make it available for everyone. They have performed for more than a million people and, this year, will perform The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Gondoliers, and Romeo & Juliet at open-air venues, including here at Cockington Court.
Bring your own seating/rug and a picnic, sit back and enjoy the performance.
