Created by Liverpool-based story-artist Stephe Harrop, Knickers and Queens is a fierce and funny double-bill of spoken-word storytelling for grown-ups.
Henry V: The King's Knickers wilfully picks at the fraying knicker elastic of national identity, asking what a mythic hero king – and really huge pants – can tell us about being English today.
Queens of Albion: Bronze and Stone fuses medieval poetry with autobiography, spilling the beans on how a giant made Stephe miss her ninth birthday party, and finally setting the record straight on the story of Albion's mythic foremothers.
Part history, part story-set, part straight-up rant, Knickers & Queens is a fierce & funny double-bill of spoken-word storytelling for grown-ups. From Henry V and M&S Knickers to panto babes and murderous mythic foremothers, Stephe Harrop's contemporary storytelling offers a unique, offbeat examination of the imaginative state of England today.
