Sorry, this event has passed
10 years ago, the team at Princesshay created a rooftop bee friendly garden high above the shops as a sanctuary for honey bees. Over the last decade the space has matured and grown and the team tend weekly to the four bee hives housing over 300,000 honeybees.
This space is a hidden oasis for insects and plant life but the team are inviting visitors to attend Bee Garden Tours on selected dates in August and September.
The tour will start at ground level outside 'The Hive' on Bampfylde Lane before heading up to the rooftop to visit the garden space and see the bee hives. The hives will be observed at a safe distance and will not be opened up during these visits.
Please note that unfortunately the rooftop space is not accessible for visitors with mobility issues due to steps and uneven surfaces on the rooftop.
This event is open to all ages. Please book a ticket per person. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
