If you're driving from Exeter to Dawlish Warren, the simplest route is:
Leave Exeter heading south-west on the A379 towards Exminster and Dawlish.
Continue through Exminster, then follow the A379 along the Exe Estuary via Kenton and Starcross.
As you approach Dawlish Warren, follow signs for Dawlish Warren Beach, Nature Reserve, or Holiday Parks.
Turn onto Warren Road/Beach Road as signposted into Dawlish Warren.
Distance: approximately 11 to 12 miles (18 to 20 km).
Driving time: typically 25 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
From Newton Abbot to Dawlish Warren by car:
Leave Newton Abbot on the A381 towards Teignmouth.
Join the A380 briefly, then follow signs for Teignmouth/Dawlish (A379).
Continue on the A379 through Teignmouth and then along the coast towards Dawlish.
Stay on the A379 through Dawlish, following signs for Dawlish Warren.
Turn into Dawlish Warren via Warren Road, following signs for the beach, nature reserve, or holiday parks.
Distance: about 8-10 miles (13-16 km).
Driving time: typically 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
