Sorry, this event has passed

The Teignmouth Folk Festival is a huge music event that attracts large crowds to this beautiful town with its wide variety of exciting entertainment.

Between Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd June Teignmouth will once again host it's annual extravaganza of folk arts.

Music song, dance, sessions and storytelling will be in abundance around the town, including numerous free events.

The festival is very happy to welcome back Newfoundland singer Jim Payne, who along with Devon's own Paul Wilson and Marilyn Tucker will be presenting their show 'Shore to Shore', a celebration of the strong connections between Devon and Newfoundland.

Other festival guests include award-winning Devon singer Jim Causley, shanty group The Old Gaffers, Lancashire-based duo Peter and Barbara Snape. Also gracing the weekend will be Geoff Lakeman and Bill Murray.

The festival's Saturday night ceilidh will feature the ever-popular Mrs Midnight's Ceilidh Band.

Once again the festival will welcome back the City of Plymouth Pipe Band.

Of course the colours and sounds of a multitude of dance teams, 15 and counting, will be much in evidence.

Further details of the festival can be found at www.teignmouthfolk.co.uk or from Anne Gill on 01803 290427
