We’ve got a whole host of fantastic firework displays in Devon this year for visitors to enjoy. Annual events across the region are back with a bang and these aren’t your ordinary bonfire nights! Think fire performers, amazing local food, live music and of course, spectacular displays that will take your breath away. Check out the firework displays in South Devon below.

Teignmouth & Shaldon Fireworks Display, Teignmouth (30th October)

Enjoy a free fireworks display hosted by Teignmouth Town Council and Shaldon Parish Council. The fun will begin at 7:15pm and visitors can watch from the Point car park which will be closed to vehicles from 6pm. 

Bonfire Night, Plymouth (5th November)

It will be a night to remember at Plymouth Hoe on the 5th with an incredible bonfire and fireworks display. Fun for the whole family, festivities begin at 4pm culminating in a display at 8pm firing from the Royal Citadel. A music programme will start at 6pm with rides and refreshments also on offer all evening.

Ottery St Mary Tar Barrels, Ottery St Mary (5th November)

Subject to any covid restrictions, the Tar Barrels of Ottery St Mary will be going ahead this year. The infamous event is a highlight of the South Devon calendar and sees brave participants race through the streets carrying flaming barrels. Please note this event is not suitable for small children, animals or those with limited mobility.

Exeter Roundtable’s 38th Annual Charity Firework Display, Exeter (5th November)

A wonderful charity firework display held at Westpoint Exeter, with lots to look forward to. All the money raised at the event goes to DAAT and other local charities. Tickets are £10 per adult, £5 for 3 - 16 year olds or a family ticket of 2 adults and 2 children for £25. Gates open at 5:30pm.

Exmouth RNLI Fireworks Display, Exmouth (5th November)

Exmouth RNLI host a firework display to remember at Exmouth Rugby Football Club with the gates opening at 5:30pm. The display begins at 7:30pm and there will be local vendors serving delicious food throughout the evening. Tickets are £5.98.

Bonfire Night & Fireworks at Newton Abbot RFC, Newton Abbot (6th November)

Newton Abbot hosts Sonic Fireworks with the display starting at 7:30pm. Tickets start at £5 and there will be plenty of stalls and food available. A fantastic family evening and the bar will be open too!

Sidbury Fireworks Display, Near Sidmouth (6th November)

Taking place at Sidbury Manor, Sidbury Fireworks & Bonfire will include a huge firework display at 7:15pm, licensed bar, fire performers, live music, BBQ and plenty more. Gates open at 5:30pm and tickets for adults are £8 whilst tickets for children under the age of 14 are £6.
